We have designed a small elegant folder kit for home knifemaking. The folder is made for everyday carriage and is compact enough to fit comfortably in your pocket. You just choose, shape and mount the handle material you like. The handle scales are attached with screws (included), which makes it easy to change them again later on.
The folder kit is designed to make the process of knifemaking easy and accessible to everyone. You don’t need a lot of machinery to get started. A column-type drilling machine with the right tools (drills, milling bit, grinding wheel and polishing wheel) is enough to get started. Then select the handle scales you prefer and you are ready to go.
The folder model comes in two different Damascus patterns: Cloud and Ladder. Both are made with a VG10 core steel that gives it a nice sharp edge. The core steel is then wrapped in stainless Damascus to improve toughness and corrosion resistance. The VG10 core is hardened to 58-60 HRC. Finally, the frame is milled in stainless steel 420.
